Growing Up

I still feel quite young so it was surprising to find 2 gray hairs on my head this morning! Aaaahhh! It's actually pretty cool! I feel like my life must have meaningful so far, it means I've experienced something enough to go gray! Woo-Hoo!

Swimming, swimming and more swimming!

Actually only 2 days of swimming. But it was a lot of fun. Monday we took the whole family to the public swimming pool. Then we went again on Wednesday night to meet my mom and the group of kids who were going with the church group. The city recently upgraded the pool to be like a mini water park, lazy river and all! Nehemiah took off to go off the diving board and be with his friends. Ray and I stayed in the shallow pool with the younger kids. I had a lot of fun watching the twins jump into the water from the edge of the pool and watching them go down the slides. Isaiah practiced swimming underwater from one end of the pool to the other. Malachi practiced going under water and jumping in. The twins scared me once when they decided to come back to the shallow pool (they were at the table talking to my mom) and jump in on the deep end! It's only 3 ft and even though they can reach the bottom, they are not tall enough for their heads to be above the water! Both jumped in without me or Ray being there! I swam over as fast as I could and rescued Seth, while Nehemiah saved Samara! Whew! What a relief! Gotta watch those little ones closely!

What the heck is a blog?

My husband asked me, "What the heck is a blog anyway?" I tried to explain it was an online journal, a place to post thoughts, pictures, etc. He responded by saying it has the right title, it's just a bunch of "blahg, blahg, blahg". Ha, ha! He's so funny.

Anyway, I heard a song today that I haven't heard in a long time but it brought me to tears. I don't know the artist or the name of the song. But it is one of the most beautiful love songs I have ever heard. The chorus goes:

If you get there before I do,
Don't give up on me,
I'll be there when my chores are through,
I don't know how long I'll be,
But I'm not gonna let you down,
Darling, wait and see,
Between now and then,
Until I see you again,
I'll be loving you,
Love,
Me

Well that's all for now!

First Posting

Here it goes. The beginning of a story. Well, our life has been going on prior to this blog, filling our days with joy, frustration, happiness, and anger and all types of other things. I just decided to start blogging so that we can record all these things. So, I hope to keep ya posted!
